While making a music video - based off the music video "In The Sun" by Him and Her - there were a lot of things to consider such as the location, props, mise-en-scene and how we were going to be able to shoot certain scenes. For example, how we were going to shoot the overhead shot.
We overcame this problem and succeeded in creating a good music video with all things thought about carefully and achieved.

We managed to shoot the overhead shot by using this ladder.
We found certain props from school and what others were able to bring in such as the guitar and amp, hoola hoops and platform.

As we have two media groups we were able to shoot different scenes from the music video simultaneously, therefore making the music video a lot quicker to make than it would have been otherwise without the two groups and having two of each character. Though, despite the time efficiency having two people playing one character may have confused the audeicne if the scenes had not been edited to merge well together.

Everything mostly went smoothly despite not securing the locations of where we were going to shoot the scenes which delayed our filming time. Overall, everything went well and we created a good music video.

Music Video

What is this music video doing?
It is promoting the band. This song was the bands first big single and they needed the video to be as engaging as possible so people would want to watch and listen to more of their songs. It does this by having a narrative video to go with the song, not original but simple and effective. It tells a story to go along the lyrics to keep the audience interested and intrigued so the band would then be able to go on and be more creative with their music videos once they had the audiences attention and so the audience would want to hear and see more of the band.
Who would be interested in this video?
Mostly teenagers and any people who are interested and enjoy the pop/soft rock music genre that this band portrays.
Was the video successful?
The video was successful as on YouTube it has over thirty-seven million views and the band achieved its goal of gaining the fans and attention they wanted.
